Why Do We Rush Things at the End? (How to Finish Well Without Regret)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Why do we tend to rush things right at the end… after putting in so much effort?
In this episode of Jola Speaks, we explore a powerful lesson from Nehemiah 7 and what it means to truly finish well.
Nehemiah didn’t just build the wall and walk away.
He ensured structure, order, and continuity — because finishing isn’t enough. Finishing well is what preserves everything.
Many of us experience what can be called “end-stage fatigue.”
You’ve done the work, you’re tired, and you just want to move on… but rushing that final phase can undo everything.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why the final stage of any assignment is the most critical
- How rushing can cost you credibility, momentum, and results
- What it means to finish well in your career, projects, and life
- How to resist the pressure to “just be done”
If you’ve ever felt tempted to rush something important just to move on… this episode is for you.
